Thuringian Club Barbecue Championship 2026

Whether it's a sports club, animal lovers, music group, or simply a passionate community of interest—at the Thuringian club barbecue championship you've come to the right place! It's not just about the perfect barbecue food, but also team spirit, creativity, and enjoying the shared experience.

Who can participate?

Any group of 2–4 enthusiastic barbecue enthusiasts—whether a club, company, or group of friends. Companies are also welcome to demonstrate their barbecue skills and compete with other teams.

What can you expect?

Two courses: main course & dessert
The audience rates your creations
Prize money and non-cash prizes for the best teams
A day full of enjoyment, entertainment, and fellowship

We have deliberately kept the rules simple so that every barbecue can take part. At the same time, we ensure a level playing field so that all participants have a fair chance.

2-4 participants per team (team leader at least 18 years old)
Preparation on one or more grills
2 courses with 1 h serving time each (times are determined according to the number of teams)
40 tasting portions per course (no full menus)
Main course Choice between bratwurst and pork neck (provided)
Free choice of dessert by the team
Field size 3×3 m (more upon consultation) – a pavilion must be set up
Observe hygiene rules – health pass (monitored by us, with the right to remove a team from the race)
Entry fee 25€
